Serve the Planet (STP) Taiwan

As part of the global Serve the Planet initiative, 60 people (including SSEHV students, teachers, volunteers along with their family and friends) participated in a beach clean-up in northern Taiwan on 20th October 2018. Before the clean-up activity, the purpose of participating in such an activity was introduced in all SSEHV classes. The result was that many participants realised the importance of eliminating/reducing plastic usage in their daily lives. One teacher, who participated in a beach clean-up activity for the first time, reflected, “It’s overwhelming to see the beach polluted by so much plastic waste. I have made up my mind to reduce the plastic usage from now on. It’s worthwhile to take my students to clean the beach!”
